These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Offstream LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Storytime Lane ("Storytime Lane", "we", "us", "our"), 30 North Gould Street, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. Contact: hello@storytimelane.com. By using storytimelane.com or buying a book, including by checking the box at checkout and paying, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
PLEASE READ SECTION 14 CAREFULLY. IT REQUIRES MOST DISPUTES TO BE RESOLVED BY BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION (NOT IN COURT, AND NOT BEFORE A JURY) AND WAIVES CLASS ACTIONS. YOU CAN OPT OUT WITHIN 30 DAYS AS EXPLAINED IN SECTION 14.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the site or buy a book. The service is for parents, guardians and other adults. Children may enjoy the finished book, but must not use the site, upload content or place orders themselves.
Storytime Lane creates a personalized digital picture book: an illustrated story written and drawn with artificial intelligence from the names, details and photos you provide. Each book includes 12 illustrated story pages, a cover, a closing page and a back cover, delivered electronically as an online reader and a downloadable PDF. No physical item is shipped. The price is $18.99 USD per book (plus any applicable tax), shown before you pay. Any offer for an additional book (for example, another story with the same family for $11.99) is time-limited and shown with its price and expiry before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
Because each book is created just for you after you pay, there is no preview before purchase. We usually deliver within minutes of payment, but delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
Your story and illustrations are created with AI from your photos. AI art can occasionally include small quirks. If anything looks off, we'll fix it free.
Results vary. We do not guarantee that characters will look exactly like the people or pets in your photos (likeness, age, skin tone, hairstyle, clothing and other details may differ), that the story will match any particular expectation, or that every image will be free of imperfections. We use automated checks and safety rules, but they are not perfect.
If something in your book is wrong, email hello@storytimelane.com or use the "Something look off?" form on your book page, and tell us what is wrong (and which pages, if you can). Your remedy is that we will fix it free, for example by redrawing pages or remaking the book. Refunds are at our discretion (for example, if we cannot fix a problem you report), and we refund you in full if we cannot deliver your book. See our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived.
Your book is a custom digital product made and delivered electronically after you pay. Because it is personalized and cannot be resold, it cannot be returned, and refunds are available only as described in Section 4 and our Refund Policy. If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first: we can usually fix it quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we may provide your order details, delivery records and your acceptance of these Terms to the payment processor to respond to the dispute, and we may disable access to the book while the dispute is open or after a refund or chargeback. Filing a chargeback for a book that was delivered as described, instead of contacting us, may lead us to refuse future orders.
You may upload photos and enter names, relationships, ages, descriptions and story requests ("Your Content"). By uploading or submitting Your Content, you represent and warrant that:
You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content, including through our service providers, solely to create, deliver, fix and support your book and to operate the service as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos or book details for advertising or marketing, and we do not use them to train AI models, unless you give us separate, express permission.
You agree not to upload or request: nudity or sexual content of any kind; any content involving or sexualizing minors in an inappropriate way; violent, hateful, harassing, defamatory or illegal content; photos of people without the permissions in Section 6; or content meant to deceive or impersonate anyone. You also agree not to break, overload, scrape, reverse engineer or bypass the security of the service, use bots to place orders, or use the service to build a competing product. We may review, refuse, cancel or stop work on any order that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law, and we may report unlawful content to the authorities. If we cancel an order before delivery for a reason other than a violation, we will refund it.
When you pay and we deliver your book, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable (only for a violation of these Terms or a refund or chargeback), royalty-free license to view, download, print and share the book for personal, non-commercial purposes (for example, reading it with your family or giving a printed copy as a gift). You may not sell, resell, license, publish for profit or otherwise commercially exploit the book or its illustrations, or use them to train any AI model.
The service, website, software, story templates, prompts, designs, art styles, layouts, text, logos and the Storytime Lane name are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Except for the license in Section 8, no rights are granted to you. We may keep copies of delivered books to provide, support and secure the service as described in our Privacy Policy.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL BOOKS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, A LIKENESS OF ANY PERSON, OR MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE AND OUR MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR ANY BOOK, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR ANY BOOK WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (FOR EXAMPLE, FOR FRAUD OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT). SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT FULLY APPLY TO YOU.
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Offstream LLC and its members, managers, employees and agents from any third-party claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, including any claim that you lacked permission to upload a photo or use a name.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable U.S. federal law (including the Federal Arbitration Act), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not subject to arbitration under Section 14 (including a claim that proceeds in court because you opted out, or any small-claims action) must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you and we consent to their personal jurisdiction, except that a small-claims action may be brought in the small-claims court where you live. This does not take away any non-waivable right you may have to sue in your home state.
Informal resolution first. Before starting an arbitration or court case, the party with the claim must send a written notice of the dispute (for you: to hello@storytimelane.com with your name, the email you ordered with, a description of the problem and what you want; for us: to the email you ordered with). We both agree to try in good faith to resolve it informally for 60 days after the notice is received. Deadlines to bring a claim are paused during this period.
Arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the service or any book will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect (available at adr.org). The arbitrator, not a court, decides questions about the scope and enforceability of this arbitration agreement, except as stated below about the class-action waiver. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, but only to you individually. Payment of filing, administration and arbitrator fees is governed by the AAA Consumer Rules. The arbitration may be held by video or phone, on written submissions, or in the county where you live.
Small-claims exception. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, for as long as it stays there.
Class-action and jury-trial waiver. You and we may bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this Section 14 by emailing hello@storytimelane.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your name and the email you used to order. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms; disputes will then be decided in court as described in Section 13.
If part of this section is unenforceable. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (and only that claim) must proceed in court under Section 13, not in arbitration. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Changes apply to orders placed after they are posted; the Terms in effect when you placed an order apply to that order. Changes to Section 14 will not apply to a dispute that you or we gave notice of before the change.
You may stop using the service at any time and may ask us to delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access to the service if you violate these Terms or if we stop offering the service. Sections 3, 5, 6 (your promises and our limited license), 7, 8 (for paid, delivered books not revoked for a violation, refund or chargeback) and 9 through 17 survive.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full force (severability). Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example, outages at our hosting, payment or AI providers). Headings are for convenience only. This Privacy Policy explains how Offstream LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Storytime Lane ("we", "us"), 30 North Gould Street, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, collects, uses and shares information when you use storytimelane.com. Contact: hello@storytimelane.com.
We use your information to create, deliver, fix and support your book (including redrawing pages or remaking a book), to process payments and refunds, to send order and sign-in emails, to prevent fraud and abuse, to keep the service secure and working, to measure our own advertising (see Section 6), and to comply with law. Your photos are used only to make your book (and another book with the same family if you accept that offer). We do not sell your personal information, do not use your photos or book details for advertising or marketing, and do not use them to train AI models.
To write and illustrate your book and run automated photo and safety checks, your book details and photos are sent to Google's Gemini API, which processes them on our behalf. Under the Gemini API terms for paid accounts like ours, Google does not use this data to train or improve its products; it may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse, as described in its terms.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of our business. Our providers may process data in the United States.
We use essential cookies to remember your in-progress book, keep you signed in to "My books" (including a "trusted device" cookie, kept for up to a year, that lets the book link in our emails sign you in again on the device that first opened it), run security checks (Cloudflare Turnstile) and, before launch, to control site access. We also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure whether our ads work. It may set a Meta cookie and sends Meta the page visited and three event types: page views, starting checkout and completed purchase (with the price and currency). We never send Meta your photos, names, email, story details or any book content, and the pixel does not run on your book, account, admin or privacy pages or on any page whose address contains your private order link. Meta may combine this with information it already has about you under its own policies. To opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (we will not load the pixel), block third-party cookies, or adjust your Facebook ad settings.
Storytime Lane is for adults (parents, guardians and other grown-ups). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and children may not use the site or place orders. Children's photos, names and details are provided by an adult who confirms they are the child's parent or guardian or have that person's permission, and we use them only to make that adult's book. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to review or delete their child's information using the Privacy choices page or by emailing us. If you believe a child has given us information directly, email us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, and the EU/UK), you may have the right to know and access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising, "selling" or "sharing", and to appeal our decision on your request. We do not sell your personal information. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of the Meta pixel. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, use the Privacy choices page or email hello@storytimelane.com; we verify requests using the email address you ordered with, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. People in the EU/UK: our legal bases are performing our contract with you (making your book), your consent (photos), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, ad measurement) and legal obligations, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), private storage with access controls, secret order links, short-lived signed links for files, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
We may update this policy by posting the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and we will notify you of material changes when required by law.

If your book has a problem (for example, a strange image, a character drawn twice, or a story mistake), email hello@storytimelane.com or use the "Something look off?" form on your book page. Tell us what is wrong and which pages, if you can. We will fix it free, for example by redrawing pages or remaking the book.
Refunds are at our discretion, for example if we cannot fix a problem you report or your order was placed twice by accident. Approved refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear in 5–10 business days.
If we can't make your book at all, we refund you in full automatically.
When an order is refunded or charged back, access to the book's online reader and download is turned off. Please contact us before disputing a charge: we can usually fix things quickly.
This policy does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
